الأم تهبُ أبناءها صحتها وعافيتها، فهي التي حملت في أحشائها تسعة أشهر وهناً على وهن، وتحمّلت آلام المخاض والولادة والتي تناستها بعد أن حملت طفلها بين ذراعيها، وهي التي ذاقت الأمرين، وسهرت الليالي على راحةِ أبنائها من دون أن تكلّ أو تملّ أو تتضجر وتتذمّر، وإذا ما تداعى أحد أبنائها بالمرض بقيت تحرسه كلّ الليل إلى أن يتعافى، فهي المثل الأعلى للإيثار، وإذا أردنا إحصاء فضائل أمهاتنا علينا لوجدنا بأننا بحاجة عمرين لنعوضها على جزء صغير مما قدمته لنا، فرضا الله من رضا الوالدين، وجاء في كتاب الله الحكيم:
{وَوَصَّيْنَا الْإِنسَانَ بِوَالِدَيْهِ حَمَلَتْهُ أُمُّهُ وَهْنًا عَلَىٰ وَهْنٍ وَفِصَالُهُ فِي عَامَيْنِ أَنِ اشْكُرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيْكَ إِلَيَّ الْمَصِيرُ}.
وأخيراً وليس آخراً؛ نظر لعطاء الأمّ الذي لا يوازيه عطاء آخر في الدنيا، ليس واجباً علينا أن نحتفل بها في عيد الأمّ فقط، بل يجب أن نجعل كل أيامها عيداً، وهذا لنرد ولو جزءاً بسيطاً من عطائها لنا، ونشكرها على ما قدمته لنا من عطاء، ولنكسب رضا الله ورضا رسوله الذي قال: الجنة تحت أقدام الأمهات.
